This a intended as fun social event with local clubs. The navex is optional but is EASY ( really!)

to all but especially local clubs Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Lessay,
Granville and Maupertus Aeroclubs. Please
aim to arrive in Cherbourg for a briefing at
11:00 french local (10:00UK
time 09:00UTC)
Croissants and coffee a Le Coucou de Fourchette with Luc and Edith
The (optional) navigation route is about 100miles finishing near Lessay (but avoid their overhead due possible parachuting) and then return to Jersey for a late lunch eta 13:00 - 16:00. Lasgane chips and salad to be confirmed
The format is based on our September Air Rally click here for details but without any scores for timing it is more relaxed this year!. HINT flying at a constant speed helps to fix your position.
THINGS YOU NEED TO BRING:
Protractor and Ruler with 1:250,000 scale
Accurate watch /clock (preferably with digital display)
Digital camera with removable memory card eg: (CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SD, and xD)
THINGS YOU DON'T NEED ( WE WILL PROVIDE ):
1:250,000 map
GPS
logger Garmin Etrex, Geko or similar
we have enough loggers
for 12 entries. bring your own if you have one

We will publish a start order in speed order (fastest go first) and take offs will be at 5 to 10 minute intervals.
Providing all the technology works, and Mark has not had a nervous breakdown, results will be announced after lunch.

form and add a Note that it is about the April Rally. Please include your Name, Registration, declared speed for the Rally and
number for lunch. The
cost is £25 per aircraft to include landing fees and croissants in Caen and
will go to the logger fund. Everyone will receive a google earth trace
of their route with all their photos 'geotagged' along the route.
