1. FULL PARTICIPATION

The flying competitions commence at Cherbourg Airport on Friday 9th September 2005 with a Navigational exercise. Aircrew will have to plan a mystery  route of about 100 nautical miles ending with a spot landing at a French Airfield.  Finally there is a short transit to Guernsey for another spot landing. There will be two categories of entry:-‘Open’ for experienced competitors. ‘Sportsman’ for others
If you wish to arrive at Cherbourg on Thursday, we have reserved a limited number of rooms at a nearby hotel.  Included is bed and breakfast, with transport to and from the hotel for £45 per person sharing a double or twin bedded room or £20 supplement for single occupancy. Entry to the competition is an extra £25 per aircraft to include French Landing fees, cameras, processing and maps. These costs are payable in advance and are in addition to your Air Rally entry fee.  Please note the Hotel’s booking policy is only to give refunds if booked rooms are cancelled more than two weeks before required. Therefore if you are unable to arrive on the Thursday for whatever reason and we cannot reallocate your room, it will not be possible to refund this element of your entry fee if we are advised less than two weeks before.
Another option is to arrive in Guernsey on the Thursday and fly to Cherbourg on the Friday morning for the competition possibly leaving passengers behind for shopping in St Peter Port.   Please indicate overleaf if you need beds on Thursday night. Please arrive by mid-day French time (10.00Z)  on Friday September 9th  for the navex
