APPLICATION FORM
1. FULL PARTICIPATION
The
flying competitions commence at Cherbourg Airport on Friday 9th
September 2005 with a Navigational exercise. Aircrew will have to plan a mystery
route of about 100 nautical miles ending with a spot landing at a French
Airfield.
Finally there is a short transit to Guernsey for another spot landing.
There
will be two categories of entry:-‘Open’ for experienced competitors.
‘Sportsman’ for others
If you wish to arrive at Cherbourg on Thursday, we have reserved a limited
number of rooms at a nearby hotel.
Included is bed and breakfast, with transport to and from the hotel for £45
per person sharing a double or twin bedded room or
£20 supplement for single occupancy. Entry to the competition is an
extra £25
per aircraft to include French
Landing fees, cameras, processing and maps. These costs are payable in advance and are in addition to
your Air Rally entry fee.
Please note the Hotel’s booking policy is only to give refunds if
booked rooms are cancelled more than two weeks before required. Therefore if you
are unable to arrive on the Thursday for whatever reason and we cannot
reallocate your room, it will not be possible to refund this element of your
entry fee if we are advised less than two weeks before.
Another
option is to arrive in Guernsey on the Thursday and fly to Cherbourg on the
Friday morning for the competition possibly leaving passengers behind for
shopping in St Peter Port.
Please indicate overleaf if you need beds on Thursday night. Please
arrive by mid-day French time (10.00Z)

2. FLY DIRECT TO GUERNSEY
If the Navigational Exercise is not your scene, take the direct route to Guernsey. You will still be eligible for many prizes, including furthest distance flown, spot landing, Concours D’Élegance, most aircraft from one base etc.
