 Thursday, 6th September

As required! Optional early arrival in France with accommodation booked at the Hotel de France, St Vaast La Hougue at extra cost. The price is £45.00 per person for en suite rooms (double occupancy) inclusive of breakfast and transportation. (£65.00 single)   The Club will settle your basic room account. NOTE: All other costs must be paid by the Rallyist prior to departing the Hotel.

Friday, 7th September

09:30local                   Club Transport to Cherbourg Airport from Hotels for night stoppers.

10:30local                   First ‘Competition’ brief at upstairs in Cherbourg terminal for Navigational/Flying competition from Cherbourg to Guernsey. Coffee and croissants will be available for Friday arrivals from the bar/restaurant in the terminal building.

12:00-16:00                 Courtesy arrival buffet lunch served in the Guernsey Aero Club. 

12:30local                   Second ‘Competition’ brief upstairs in Cherbourg terminal for Navigational/Flying competition from Cherbourg to Guernsey

18:30A                        Vin D'Honneur and official welcome in the Channel Islands Air Search Hangar by our main sponsors Aircraft Servicing (Guernsey) Ltd.  (hangar is short walk from the Aero Club). Afterwards you may wish to return and stay on in the Aero Club, as there will be food available and the bar will stay open until 23:59, or sample one of the many excellent restaurants on the Island.

Saturday, 8th September

10:00A-12:00A            Pre Flight competition in the ASG Hangar.

10:00A-13.30A            General Knowledge Aviation Quiz in the Club House. 

10:00A                         Car Treasure Hunt from Aero Club (return in time for Bucks Fizz).

10:30A                        Chance to try your Archery in a field near the Club. Charge £2.00 per session covering basic tuition. 5 ‘sighters’ and the 12 arrows to score.

10:00A-12:00A          Static display of interesting aircraft in front of Aero Club hangar.

10:00A-17:00A          Chance to Fly in Antonov An2 or Aerobatics in a Bulldog or Extra 300.

12:00A                        Bucks Fizz reception in the Club House sponsored by Heritage Group  

Snack lunch available 12:30A to 14:00A. 

19:30A                        “Flying Circus” theme presentation dinner in the (heated) Club Hangar with dancing music provided by "City Limits". Dinner will be a feast with starter, main course with hot and cold food, with a dessert to finish.  This can be washed down with a selection of wines, beers, soft drinks etc. to suit your taste. There is the option to dress up for the occasion in Fancy dress, so come as a as a Flying circus, a Circus, or a Monty Pythons Flying Circus character, in its broadest sense.  A fun and informal occasion!!

Sunday, 9th September

As required!             Leisurely departure from Guernsey with coffee and bacon rolls available in the Club House to help you on your way and we look forward to seeing you next year!!!
